THU HA Nguyen-Coigny

Born in Da Nang, Vietnam the 10 th daughter of Nguyen Huu Toan (Director Of Under Cover Operation during 1950's), it was not until 1979 when the family had moved from their birth city to a more urban, fast-paced lifestyle, Ho Chi Minh City also known as Saigon. It was in this city where Thu Ha is exposed to the artistic styles of the fast-paced city. When Thu Ha was younger she always had an artistic sense whether that would be in hair, baking, or floral arrangements. As she grew older the more passionate she felt about floral arrangements, but as any typical Vietnamese family floral arrangement should not be considered as a career.

However, Thu Ha, never gave floral arrangement up, instead she made it apart of her life as a hobby. Throughout the years, Thu Ha has been doing floral arrangement for family and friends. In the summer of 1995, Thu Ha received an opportunity to go to the States with her family to start a new life in the land of opportunity. Thu Ha was able to see and experience the land of opportunity in Portland, Oregon, Thu Ha has made new friends and family in which they supported her artistic talents in fresh floral arrangements. Through out many years, Thu Ha has gained not only experience, but confidence in herself.
